+How long are Chief lead times?

It depends on if the product is in stock or not:

1. It is in stock.

If the product you are inquiring about is on hand, we are extremely responsive.

2. It is not in stock.

Chief stocks many of our components, but if the product you are ordering is not in stock, the lead time varies depending on the product manufacturer: Bosch: 12 - 16 weeks TE Connectivity: 24 weeks Standard Motor Products (SMP): 8 – 9 weeks Sensors and Motors: 13 - 17 weeks Horns: 17 weeks

+How can I help enhance our logistic relationship with Chief Enterprises?

Forecasting. We establish relationships with many of our customers in which information that pertains to readiness and procurement flows freely between us. Providing Chief with projected product usage information allows us to adequately prepare ourselves and our suppliers to meet demand. Please express interest to your sales representative if they aren’t already urging you to participate in this type of active and open communication!

+Can Chief help me assemble or modify components to suit my needs?

Yes, Chief does perform in-house value added and assembly processes.

+Can I purchase Chief products online?

Absolutely! Our new web-store is fully functional and secure.

+Is it possible to place an order on Friday and have it process and ship the same day?

Yes, Chief is highly responsive. We strongly advise you to plan ahead as much as possible and get your orders in by 13:30 to ensure an immediate, same day, response.

+How will my order be shipped?

All orders are FOB Elmhurst, Illinois. Chief typically ships via UPS or Federal Express, but may also use other carriers per customer request. We aim to ship all orders for in-stock products same day, however expedited shipping and handling are both available for an extra charge.

+Where are the Chief distribution centers located?

Our Metals and Machinery division has many distribution centers throughout the United States which can be viewed here. Our electrical components division, however, distributes from Elmhurst, Illinois and Ciudad Chihuahua, Chihuahua, Mexico.
