One of the many products offered by Bosch is their auxiliary water pumps. These pumps are robust and versatile and can be used in many applications. They have been a popular choice in the electric and hybrid vehicle markets to assist in the cooling of battery pack systems. The brushless pump is currently being used by a manufacturer of electric cars, and the brush-type is being used by a manufacturer of hybrid shuttle and delivery trucks.

Pump features:
- Pump impeller is mechanically isolated from the motor eliminating wearing parts
- Magnetic coupling between the pump impeller and motor - no leaking to the motor
- Impeller shaft is stainless steel for long life
- O-ring is used to seal the pump housing - no leaking

Brush motor features:

Brushless motor features:
- Shorter, 1/3 the length compared to brush-type motors
- Lighter, 1/2 the weight compared to brush-type motors

a comparison of the pressure vs flow curves of the two pumps would be very useful as its clearly easy to make a pump half the size, weight and quieter etc. if for instance, it has only half the flow of the other pump at a given pressure. This would then help people better understand compatibiity with thier installations.

this pump must be great. all the references and reviews I could find by rapidshare SE give only positive evaluation. still I'm hezitating whether to buy them or not so far.
