On Sunday September 14th, 28 employees and family members of Chief Enterprises participated in a 5k run and walk sponsored by the “One Small Voice Foundation”.

That Sunday and entire weekend was filled with heavy rains that were the remnants of Hurricane Ike.  The route of the 5k was among the victims of the rain which pounded down throughout the run.  Despite the rain, many of the Chief participants braved the weather to complete the race.

The rain also caused the post race family picnic to be moved to the Chief Offices.  Chief employees and their families ate, talked, and bonded together.

Chief Enterprises prides itself on having a workforce that both works efficiently and gets along. Chief Enterprises looks to give employees opportunities to spend time together in non-work environments.  This day allowed Chief to be a contribute to a great cause and give its people a chance to bond as friends.

The One Small Voice Foundation was created to raise money for optic nerve research to give children with optic nerve hypoplasiaandhydrocephalus. They do great work for a incredible cause, and Chief was proud to support One Small Voice.
