Bosch CEO Franz Fehrenbach was recently interviewed by Automotive News. Mr. Fehrenbach covered many topics covering the current economic situation and Bosch's commitment to Research and Development.
One of Bosch's greatest strengths is their commitment to innovation and the investment they make into Research and Development. This commitment has allowed Bosch to develop parts that are both the most state of the art and also produced with the highest quality and reliability.
Mr. Fehrenbach said the following about Bosch's R and D.
"As the leading auto supplier, we want to and will develop a variety of solutions for powertrains. Our research and development expenditure is correspondingly high. In 2007 it was 10.2% and we won't reduce it this year either. Innovations are the No. 1 success factor for Bosch."
