With new emissions standards set to take effect in 2010, Bosch has played a leading role in providing transportation OEM's with the latest in emissions-control technology. The emissions-control systems offered by Bosch included the Denoxtronic 2.0, Denoxtronic 2.2, Departronic, and PC/LD systems.
These Bosch systems are typically located on or around the engine and receive feedback from a variety of sensors, so require a robust connector interface: the Kompakt 4 connectors from Bosch. The Bosch-to-Bosch interface provides a complete solution that is both well-tested and reliable.
Started in 1993, Bosch developed the Kompakt connector line to provide a robust but small sealed connector to meet the increasing vibration requirements of diesel engines. Now the 4th installment, Bosch is pleased to introduce the Kompakt 4 connector with German engineered connector and terminal position assurance (CPA and TPA) in the proven Kompakt housing design at a competitive price.
Currently, there are 2, 3, and 4-way connector options available. The secondary locking design is foolproof: the TPA has different colors for different keys and locks horizontally, which provides interference if terminals are not correctly seated. The CPA does not engage unless fully mated to the module and is available as an option. The robust Bosch BDK terminals and seals are required for the Kompakt 4 connectors.
